We are delighted to announce that we will be running TWO, yes TWO Scumrun events next year, in 2024.
We’ve decided that the format needs a bit of a shake up, and we want to encourage old timers who haven’t attended for a year or two to join us, as well as new faces too.
First up, we will be running a ‘Scumrun UK Meet Up’ in the UK, in May.
This event will be a relaxed and informal camping weekend in the UK to get members of the Scumrun family, new and old, together for the excellent banter you have all learned to enjoy over the years. You. Are. Welcome.
This will be a fun and relaxed get together without the pressures that a European Tour and all the expenses that come with this can place on strained wallets. The event aims to raise a modest amount of money for charity, as this is the core of what we do, but this is not the core focus of the event, so less pressures on teams on this side of things too.
All cars are welcome and we will be including some sightseeing/navigational action, as well as celebrating all things that Scumrun is about (crap, and not so crap cars!).
The dates for this are now set as Friday 24th May – Sunday 26th May.
Entries will be open in the coming weeks. Watch this space.
Second up, in September time, we will be running a hybrid of past Scumruns with a trip to Europe where we will announce our main destination, but that the trip there will include navigational checkpoints and great sights, as we always do.
Dates for this will be announced by the end of the year at the latest.
