2015 fundraising total makes ten year record
News June 6, 2015 Scumrun Team
Scumrun’s 10th anniversary event, which took place in May 2015 has generated the largest amount of money for charity since the event’s inception.
The total announced at the launch party was £118,000, and now it has exceeded £120,000 and continues to climb. This will allow JDRF to initiate a brand new research project into treating and hopefully curing Type 1 Diabetes, as well as providing over 5000 children with a JDRF teddy, an important mascot that is given to all children when diagnosed, to assist with the drama of having to constantly inject and take blood tests.
This is a truly life changing amount and we are delighted and so proud of all of the Scumrunners! Further updates on this in due course. To find out more about the 2015 nominated charity in the meantime visit www.jdrf.org.uk.
